Let’s start this article off with a vocabulary break-down in reference to the word “Dawn” diction mentioned as “The beginning of a phenomenon or period of time, especially one considered favorable.” or “To become evident to the mind; be perceived or understood” & can also be used in reference to Shawn, the steadily rising musical curator!
With his father already establishing a very creditable name in the music industry under a singing collective named "Unkut'', a popular group of artists that were able to open up for Destiny's Child & even unlocking doors to give Shawn's father an opportunity to record/produce for Usher - the knowledge was passed down to the adolescent curious curator as he set out his plan to dominate the industry!
This young Largo, Maryland-born producer has been making some noise in the DMV musical scene for quite some time now; starting his excursion in production around the year of 2016.. but it wasn’t always the easiest. From his studio catching on fire, Laptops & hard drives malfunctioning out of nowhere & losing everything multiple times he was still able to overcome adversity by using his connections in the game alongside a strong work ethic mixed with pure dedication, in all & any curations tied around his name - to obtain features/placements with popular artist & influencers in the likings of the currently incarcerated Money Reekk, Keezah & Q Da Fool, Lil Gray, The Late Baby Ahk & Goonew, SSG Splurge, YungManny, MoneyMarr, Big Flock, Big Winn, NLE Choppa, Quin NFN, Borleone, Rudy Cash, Tae Dawg, Shug Da Trappa, Cell Chapo, Soduh, Don Migo, JuanHunnit, Fat Yee & Many other on the come up musical entities via all platforms like YouTube & SoundCloud! - Acquiring close to around 5,000,000 streams/views platform wide!
We have been tapped in with Shawn & his catalog of work since around late 2018 & have been keeping track of all his current motions & releases! we thought it was the perfect time to hit him up & get a little more information about his uprising stature as a solidified producer in the ever growing DMV music presence & just his overall come up in general! With having little to no current discography out on the internet about his path in music, I got the opportunity to learn more about Shawn & his journey as a producer-engineer/mixer through these past couple years. Check out our interview below & make sure to follow Shawn on all platforms, links will be automated to the clickables below! - Thank you Shawn for taking the time to conduct this article with us & we hope this piece of work opens up more doors for networking in your future!

To answer your second question, I had a good upbringing to be honest with you, my parents made good money.. they always kept me doing something active ; which was mostly basketball. I was enrolled in some piano & singing camps a few times out the years but nothing too crazy ; it was smooth for me.”
Thirty Six Seven: “Okay so what time did producing come in the picture for you & how did you really gain a curiosity for it?”
ShawnThaDawn: “Well, I started producing around my senior year in high school around 2016. My pops was already a music producer/artist & had the whole recording & producer set up in our basement.. it was there my whole life for real.. so I would always be in there rapping/singing or trying to add to/create a beat .. & i just ran with it.”
Thirty Six Seven: “you start dabbling into the musical elements & gravitate toward production. Can you remember your first placement or song you produced for a rapper & around what year this was locked in?”
